Your Prayers Could Transform Serezha’s Life!

Your Prayers Could Transform Serezha’s Life!

For the first several years of his life, Serezha was abused and neglected by his alcoholic parents. At the tender age of four, he marched himself over to the local orphanage and asked them to take him in. His parents were immediately stripped of their parental rights and he was soon cleared for adoption.

A year later, his grandmother cane to the orphanage and said she wanted to foster him. But she was more interested in the money given to support foster children than she was in actually caring for her grandson. Serezha’s life grew even darker when his grandmother’s boyfriend and his own father often stopped by and beat the young child.

But this Christmas season there is hope for Serezha! An amazing woman named Yelena recently learned that two of her adopted children have a biological brother who has been in and out of orphanages, suffered abuse, and desperately needs a family. That little boy is Serezha, and she wants to adopt him!

Serezha can be part of a family who understands the hard work of healing and the joy of overcoming small obstacles daily. In addition to his biological brother and sister (Vitya and Nina) he will join adoptive twin brothers Sasha and Alesha. Yelena has walked her four special needs children through countless doctor visits, developmental delays, and surgeries. She has poured her heart into these children, bringing light into their lives and giving them a second chance at happiness.

Your prayers could be the catalyst that allows Yelena’s motherly love and generosity to extend to Serezha. All that stands between him and his forever family is funding for the adoption paperwork and medical checkups. The growing family also desperately needs a refrigerator. Won’t you pray that God would provide the funds for Yelena to give Serezha the opportunity to thrive and become the joy-filled child that God created him to be? What a joyous Christmas this could be for Serezha and his new family!
