Every Child longs for a sense of belonging—the love that anchors us through every season. Your prayers help make that possible for vulnerable children around the world.
When Oleski was only a year old, his world turned upside down. After his father passed away, his despairing mother turned to alcohol, and soon all four of her children were removed from the home.
But we thank God that Oleski’s story didn’t end there!
Through the compassionate work of an AFFEO partner—and with the prayer support of friends like you—something incredible happened. Our partner came alongside Oleski’s mother for the long-haul. They helped her enter a rehabilitation program; they provided counseling to help her address her grief and find healthy coping mechanisms; they guided her through the reunification process; and they made sure her family had food and basic necessities. They also helped connect Oleski’s mother to a local church community and provided parenting training so she could build a safe, stable home for her children.
Today, she is sober and has come to deep levels of healing from her loss. She has gained steady employment, a supportive community, and is caring for her children once again. Oleski and his siblings are safe, loved, and growing up together where they belong: in their own family.
During Christmas, we celebrate the greatest gift of all: A child sent to bring hope and renewal to the world. In that same spirit, your prayers bring hope, restoration, and belonging to children and families who are currently walking through their darkest days.
Thank you so much for your prayers—they help A Family for Every Orphan
• reunite children like Oleski with their families whenever possible.
• equip caregivers to create stable, nurturing homes.
• protect vulnerable youth aging out of orphanages from trafficking and homelessness.
• empower local leaders to build lasting solutions that strengthen families and protect children.
As we approach the end of the year, we are reminded of the 5.4 million children around the world who are growing up without the stability and love of a family. Conflict, poverty, and crisis push them into orphanages, onto the streets, or into unstable homes. Too many are left to survive without the care and belonging every child deserves. Won’t you pray with us that more children like Oleski would find their way into a loving, caring family?
May God bless you richly this Christmas season!
