A Message from the President
Dear Friends,
I’ve done a lot of soul-searching this past year… pondering how many children have faced deep, heart-wrenching losses. Wondering when the “time to laugh” will come for them. Asking the Lord: “How long?”
But again and again, I come back to the same thing: The Lord is in all of this. He makes a way where there seems to be no way. He shines light into the darkest situations and provides not just a glimmer of promise, but boundless hope. In the lives of so many children traumatized by war, poverty and loss, you are an instrument of that hope… and I am deeply grateful for you.
In the pages ahead, you will read stories of faith, resilience, and restoration that you fueled — stories that I pray will encourage you. One such story is that of Ksenia, a courageous young woman who, along with her young brother, was abducted by Russian forces as a teen. Both were orphans and separated from each other. For nine long months, she clung to hope, believing that she and her brother would one day be rescued and reunited. And by God’s grace, through the work of an A Family for Every Orphan partner, Nikolai Kuleba, that hope became reality.
I had the privilege of meeting Ksenia, and her strength and faith moved me deeply. She shared how, even in the darkest moments, she refused to give up hope. Now, safely reunited with her brother in Ukraine, she is not only rebuilding her life but also choosing to be a voice for the countless children still trapped in Russian-occupied territories, advocating for their rescue.
Your generosity is part of God’s redemptive work around the world. In Ghana, families struggling to make ends meet are receiving support to build sustainable incomes, keeping them together and preventing separation. In Paraguay, legal reforms are cutting through red tape, ensuring children don’t get stuck in orphanages but instead find the love and care of a family — just as God designed.
At a time when so many families face overwhelming hardship, your support is answering prayers. You are providing children with the love, stability, and future they deserve. Thank you for standing with us in this mission, for believing in every child’s right to love and safety in a family, and for being the hands and feet of Christ in their lives.
