Imagine for a moment that you are an impoverished mother in India. You long to totally provide for your family, but are simply unable to do so.

Unfortunately, many impoverished parents in India—particularly single women—do not have the financial stability needed for their children to remain in their homes. Their options are extremely limited. Very often, when single moms are unable to provide for their families, their children are placed in institutional care.

But your prayers for struggling mothers in India can empower them to help their families become financially secure! In an effort to champion single mothers and protect their children, A Family for Every Orphan has joined with local partners at a women’s empowerment center to provide vocational training for at-risk moms. This training includes teaching mothers such skills as tailoring, embroidery, and candle making—all of which are income-generating! In addition, the mother-trainees will be mentored by experienced business owners, learning how to open their own shops one day.

As an added bonus, the center also offers free childcare for trainees! This provides vulnerable children with a safe place to play, learn, and receive nutritional meals.

But such programs need financial backing to function. Won’t you join us in prayer that the Lord would provide the financial means to keep this center afloat? It has the potential to empower hundreds of at-risk moms in India with the vocational skills needed to keep their families together! Please know that your prayers are crucial in this endeavor.
