Summer is here and many children look forward to sunshine, freedom, and play. But for thousands of vulnerable children across Romania and Ukraine — those healing from trauma, neglect, abuse, or the lasting emotional scars of war — summer can be a painful time.
Even in loving homes, many continue to struggle with anxiety, aggression, withdrawal, or difficulty trusting others. Without the structure of school or familiar routines, those invisible wounds often resurface.
Children who have been affected by trauma can get the help they need through therapeutic summer camps — safe, nurturing spaces thoughtfully designed to meet their emotional and spiritual needs. More than just summer camp, these experiences offer:
♥ Art therapy, storytelling, and group games.
♥ Faith-based mentoring and emotional support.
♥ Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) healing approaches.
♥ Daily connection points and a sense of stability.
Each camp is grounded in the proven principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). While children begin to heal, parents and caregivers receive hands-on training — practical tools they can use at home to respond to trauma with compassion and understanding.
Over the years, these camps have helped thousands of children make remarkable progress in their healing journey in an environment built on connection and trust.
Won’t you join us in prayer for both the children and their parents/caregivers attending these camps? And please ask the Lord to provide the resources for many more to go—an estimated 1,500 children are waiting to attend camp. In Romania, adoptive families — especially those caring for children with disabilities — are asking for help. In Ukraine, children displaced by war urgently need safety, stability, and care.
Thank you for standing with these children and their families. Your compassionate prayers are part of the healing work God is doing in their lives!
