Vitaliy Is Healing…Prayer Is Still Needed

Your prayers can help an eight-year-old boy continue to heal from the traumatic experiences of war. Vitaliy endured horrifying events in Ukraine that no child should ever face. As a result, he struggles with sleepless nights, an overwhelming fear of the dark and and loud noises, emotional instability, and a constant need for his mother’s reassurance and close proximity.

Providentially, Vitaliy’s mother was able to bring him to an AFFEO-affiliated trauma healing center. There, psychologists began to guide Vitaliy through his healing journey. By reading stories together, exploring the emotions of the story’s characters, and connecting them to Vitaliy’s own feelings, the team helped him process his trauma. Slowly, Vitaliy became more comfortable opening up with the center’s staff and he began to heal. Thanks to their support, Vitaliy is making remarkable progress!

Vitaliy’s journey is just beginning, but as he continues to receive care from the trained professionals at the trauma healing center, he is making great strides in his healing process and emotional resilience. He is sleeping better, engaging more socially, and his intense fears are beginning to subside.

Your prayer support is greatly needed for Vitaliy—and others like him— to continue to heal from the traumas inflicted by Ukraine’s war. Your prayers make a profound difference for families in crisis—touching hearts, changing lives, and reaching those in desperate need.

Thank you for helping “uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed!” (Psalm 82:3
